A short guide to publishing advertisements and understanding what is currently displayed across the Bitmap map.
BitmapAds never asks you to connect a wallet. For a free Beta placement, publish directly on the webpage without creating an inscription. For a higher-priority on-chain advertisement, create the inscription yourself through any Ordinals platform you trust, then transfer the confirmed inscription to the designated BitmapAds advertisement address.
How to publish →Select one available rectangle up to 21×21 bitmaps (441 cells) and publish an offline_ads advertisement without a wallet or inscription. New placements are protected from another offline ad for 7 days. Advertisements published before this update keep their original recorded protection window. After protection ends, an ad remains active until the earliest accepted eligible request replaces all or part of it, a higher-priority ad supersedes it, or an existing lifecycle rule removes it. If nobody replaces it, it stays visible indefinitely.
The 1000 × 1000 map uses a Bitmap-orange base. Only published advertisements add images or text. Cached owner images, curated default images, and old map tiles are preserved, but the homepage no longer loads or displays them. Parcel numbers appear after three standard zoom-in steps from the initial view and remain hidden under advertisements.
Display rules →Merlin Chain Address parcels use the same orange base and may display eligible advertisements targeting individual bitmaps. The restriction on targeting this address through lord remains unchanged.
Parcels from 840001.bitmap through 999999.bitmap use the same orange base. To publish an inscription advertisement on these parcels, the inscription must arrive at the advertisement address in a UTXO worth exactly 10,000 satoshis. Lower-numbered targets in the same inscription remain independently eligible.
10,000-satoshi rule →Reliable real-time owner authorization is not yet available, so Beta submissions use one designated advertisement address and applies the published advertisement priority to each eligible target. In formal operation, BitmapAds intends to require authorization from the lord address that owns the targeted bitmaps.
A small number of parcel ownership or default-image records have not yet been refreshed. Those parcels use the platform fallback until verified data is available. This limitation affects display data only; it does not require visitors to connect a wallet.
Read the full Beta standard →All displayed text is moderated. Priority is default_ads → offline_ads → ins_ads → lord_ads. An eligible inscription ad can override an offline ad without waiting for its 24-hour protection period. Among overlapping inscription ads, the highest carrying-UTXO satoshi value wins, then the newest confirmed inscription. A valid inscription from the confirmed current owner is the highest class.
